Delete your account

Know what gets deleted, then decide your next step.

Last updated: 21 October 2026 · Effective from the day the service is released on the App Store and Google Play

This page does not submit requests directly or ask for passwords or private media. Use the app, or email us.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way is in the app. This web page does not delete accounts itself.

  1. Sign in to the account you want to delete and first download the photos and videos you want to keep. Go to Me → Settings and privacy → Delete account.
  2. Read the confirmation message, verify your identity again using your sign-in method, then confirm the request. If an error appears, the request has not been accepted; follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. If you sign in with Apple, deleting also revokes the Sign in with Apple authorization. You can also check on your iPhone under Settings → Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple that Aitun has been removed.

If you cannot use the app: request by email

If you no longer have the app (for example a lost phone, or it is uninstalled), email govoko01@gmail.com with the subject “Delete account request”. Write from the email registered to your account and include: your sign-in method (Apple or Google), your creator ID (the @ account) or display name, and that you want this account deleted.

To confirm it is you, we will reply to the email registered to the account and ask you to reply to confirm; if needed we will ask you to describe things in the account (for example a basket name or roughly when you uploaded). We will never ask for your password, a verification code or private media. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, look up the relay address in your Apple account and say it is for this account.

Once your identity is confirmed, we will start the deletion for you and reply to let you know; the cleanup is the same as for a request made in the app.

What is deleted and how long it takes

Once the request is accepted, the account is disabled and your share links stop working immediately. The system then removes, in the background: account data and personal settings, media and derived files (thumbnails, previews and so on), baskets, share links, comments, notifications, push addresses and support conversations, and finally deletes the sign-in account. The cleanup runs every hour and usually finishes within 24 hours of the request; if an upload or processing job is still in progress, it waits for that to end first. For email requests, the time is counted from the moment we confirm your identity.

If someone has already downloaded or screenshotted content you shared, we cannot remove it remotely.

What may still be kept after deletion

Backups: the database’s point-in-time recovery is kept for 7 days and daily backups for 14 days, so your data disappears from backups within 14 days at most; media files are not backed up separately and are removed from storage once deleted.

Content involving child safety or other serious violations, and the related review records, are kept as evidence as required by law until the investigation ends or the legally required period expires. Report, review, star ledger and operational audit records are kept under an internal account identifier without your email and currently have no fixed automatic expiry; we keep them only as far as needed to prevent abuse, protect other users, comply with the law and handle disputes.

Service logs of the cloud platforms (which may include IP addresses) are kept under the platform’s default settings, generally within 30 days.

Before you submit

Deleting an account cannot be undone by you: once the request is accepted, your media, stars and everything in the account are removed, so download what you want to keep first. Deleting the app or signing out does not delete your account. The current version has no paid subscriptions; if there are some in the future, cancelling a subscription must be done separately in the store where it was bought.
